This reading shit kicks ass. You know, it had been a long, long time since I had actually completed a book. However, I have completed eight or so in the last two weeks and am now working on another.
I went to the used bookstore today and bought The Red and The Black by Stendhal and East of Eden by Steinbeck. I started East of Eden today, it's good so far. I've read about 5 or 6 of Steinbeck's short novels, but this is the first time I will be reading anything of his over 200 pages. I was torn between Grapes of Wrath and East of Eden, but a friend of mine told me that she has read both and that I should go with East of Eden....so I am. I was also thinking of reading Moby Dick, I've never really read anything by Melville, so maybe I'll give that a try after I finish these two and the other two I bought last week.
Other than that, not much to report. I'm bacj to working fulltime, which sucks, but I'll be able to pay rent. I also paid my phone bill and cable bill today, yippee!
I'm gonna try to get several more chapters of East of Eden read before I have to go to work. Then tonight should be movie night with a friend of mine, not sure what we're watching yet.

P.S. East of Eden is definitly the way to go. I love that book, slow moving as it is
i can tell they're men's because of the black stripe arond them.
i wear them to get people's reaction to a 'guy' wearing pink.
i hang around a lot of homophobe squares.
