That was a fun trip. I got to see a couple of good games. I got to visit Busch Stadium (in what I didn't even realize was its final season). I got to see the big arch. I took some good pictures which I will probably upload here later.
I was going to head from St. Louis to Louisville yesterday and go to the Red Sox/Bats game tonight and then come home tomorrow. However, with the time change and the distance and everything, I wouldn't have gotten to Louisville until about 9 or 10. So, I figured I would just head home. I am considering Louisville as another potential home. It doesn't snow much, it's a decent size city and though they don't have a MLB team, they do have a AAA team. And, bonus, it's the AAA club for my favorite team. Plus Cincinnati would be less than two hours away so if I wanted to see them play I could easily day trip it. I need to make a trip down to Louisville though and check it out. A good friend of mine grew up right across the river and he thinks I would like the town, so it's got that going for it as well.
Looking at the schedules of the teams, it looks like I could make it down there in early May. I figure drive down to Louisville the morning of the 10th, set up camp, mill around the city, go to the Norfolk Tides (Mets AAA) vs the Louisville Bats, sleep, wake up and drive to Cincinnati, watch the San Diego Padres vs the Cincinnati Reds, drive home. Two days, just under 800 miles, two baseball games, one night in a tent.....sounds a lot like what I just did. And it would work well because I would only have to take a Tuesday and Wednesday off of work.
Speaking of work....I'm sad to say I am going back to Papa John's. I couldn't find anything better. I can make good money without ever thinking or breaking a sweat or intereacting with the general public much. I can get days off whenever I need them and I can pretty much always pick up extra hours if I want them, as long as I don't get OT. So, starting next week I am back to working as many hours as I can there. I've loved this time off I have had though. I figure I can put up with the Papa for another four months especially since it will allow me to make enough money to pay my bills and sock some money away for moving expenses.
I also noticed that tickets for the Sunday June 26th game between the Reds and Indians are still available....I've never been to Jacobs Field, or Cleveland at all for that matter. I may just have to day trip that one.

I'll have to check finanaces. I'm really hoping to go to Motown but I have LA, Baltimore, and a few other places that are clamoring for a visit from Mr. E.
