I have a paper to write. It's only two pages, so I'm not freaking out, but I just really don't feel like writing it. I have to choose from one of Shakespeare's sonnets that we read, something from the first book of the Faerie Queene by Edmund Spenser or from the Defense of Poesy or the first 10 sonnets of Astrophil and Stella by Philip Sidney.....not very great choices. I think I will probably choose one of the sonnets, though I may go with the suicide canto from Faerie Queene.
My other class has been aggravating. It's linguistics, so it isn't really meant to be exciting. However, I am actually enjoying the subject matter for the most part. What I hate is that the class is just him lecturing for two solid hours with occasional breaks for group work. I FUCKING HATE GROUP WORK! Plus, I keep getting stuck in a group with this guy who barely speaks English and I keep having to answer questions for him because his vocabulary isn't quite up to scratch. I understand the class must be difficult for him, but why does he always have to ask me....
We watched Flightplan last night. Not as good as I wanted it to be, but at least it wasn't a big rip off of The Lady Vanishes like I feared. Then Tiffany watched Corpse Bride while I went in the other room and read Christopher Marlowe's Tragedy of Dr. Faustus.....I love Marlowe, I hate Burton, so I think it was a great trade off.
Suppose I should get cracking on that paper.....
