Suppose I should update....it has been a week after all....
I finished reading Oliver Twist. I liked it. Granted there were some cheesy coincidences in it; some improbable occurances that can only be chalked up to Dickens pondering the role of fate in our lives....but on the whole, I thought it was damn good. Now I just have to wait a couple weeks until the Polanski film is out on dvd and then rush out and buy it.
I got A Fistful of Dollars for Christmas. Which, of course, justified me purchasing For a Few Dollars More and The Good, The Bad, The Ugly from Amazon yesterday.
I started reading Babbitt by Sinclair Lewis. I'm about 40 pages in. It's good so far.
Guess what comes out one week from today!!!!

We've been watching way too much Gilmore Girls lately. Granted, I love the show (and I want Rory), but we've gone through the first three seasons in about a month....insane, right?
I had to take my car into the shop yesterday. I dropped $150 on replacing some plugs in my engine (no, not spark plugs!). Apparently I was running on only three cylinders, so maybe the car will run better now!
I have a pimple on my toe. How annoying is that? It's right on top of my middle toe....it bugs me. Maybe I should just lop my toe off....

Even if Lit doesn't lead to anything more "fulfilling" or lucrative than philosophy, at least you're doing something you enjoy. People make career changes all the time now, we are no longer a slave to that 50s ideal of working for the same company all your life, so you should just study what makes you happy. You probably won't get a job based directly on your degree anyway. Good luck!
