My wife leaves for her conference in the morning. She's flying to Toronto and will return on Wednesday evening. That's five days of Daddy duty! This is a first for this length of time since the baby. It'll be a bit weird but fun, I'm sure. I feel bad for Ruby as I'm sure she's gonna miss her momma...and of course that means I'll not...

Steak sandwich Friday.....our office tradition is at about 8 weeks now. Hudson's taphouse has $6 steak sandwich for lunch. Love Fridays.

I got this Bose i-pod dock system yesterday. Buddy of mine won it at work, but doesn't have an i-pod, so he sold it to me. $400 in the store, I gave him $200. Not like I actually NEED it, but hey....I can always...

I'm glad to be starting over with a New Year......not that 2006 had any problems, but still I like that whole starting over, clean slate feeling you get on January 1st. Like nothing behind you matters anymore.

Toughest thing right now is Jeannie and I trying to balance both of our working lives with our fairly new family life. Ruby is 16 mos. now so...

Well...about that time, hey? I'm starting to "mail it in" at work, as are most of my colleagues. Still have some minor things to pick up for stocking stuffers. All in all though, a reasonably stress free Christmas so far.

What did everybody ask Santa for? It's funny, my wife and in-laws, etc always ask everybody to give them a wish list every year. Makes...

Sweet dude,

Good to see your company does the full spread.
I know exactly how much my company pulled out of the mine this year and it is a slap in the face they havent set anything up for a party yet.

Assholes...

Sexy hat though dude, definately top notch

Haha, Yeah the presents are normal so we get our shock value this way. The womans family is pretty liberal and will get a kick out of em I think. Last year she gave her sisters boyfriend a cd case with a ton of our burnt music and movies, and put a label of his head photoshopped on a some pic she found on google of about 10 guys jerkin off. I thought it was gonna be too much but everybody died laughing at it and was amazed so we gotta up the ante this year.

The project I work on is in a remote location but the company is based out of Prince Albert. I went there for the christmas party the first year I worked there and it was pretty good, Drank on the bosses tab and had agood meal and shit. The next year they had it at their office and just got a big spread of booze over there, which would've been alright but I was busy with gigs that weekend so I ditched. I guess last year they had some meal from 6 - 8 and only covered booze during that time. The guys said they only got 1 or 2 drinks then the bar guy started askin for cash. Plus they never covered hotels for out of towners like me. So if they even had one this year it'd blow I'm sure.
I'm in the process of jumping ship as these guys need to come into the 21st century if they want to keep good workers these days.

The due date for the baby is March 4th. Me and mama are both gettin real excited and a little impatient. The good thing about my week in week out schedule up north is that if I take a week off I get three weeks at home. Hopefully baby comes at a good time in the week to maximize my time at home.

Road trip tomorrow...going to Red Deer for Tuesday/ Wed. then to Calgary Wed. night. Coming home Thursday evening. Hate leaving the wife and baby, but I'm sure they'll be allright. It's just the whole scheduling thing....getting Ruby to the gramma's in the mornings, etc.

The new vehicle was supposed to be here by last week and still isn't frown I guess the storms and snow and...

I've been working for LA for 6 seasons now. Not doing anything huge... I make game tapes for the coaching staff. So I'm at most home games (I have a partner and we switch off) filming the game so the coaches can see where the players are doing well or screwing up... more of the later recently.

What did you do for Edmonton?

You know, it's funny. One of those rhetorical questions, I guess. I was reading this article on msn about how kids are growing up faster these days. Now, they're talking physically as well as mentally, mind you. But overall, the article spells out nothing we haven't heard over the past few years. Things like music, TV, movies, video games, adverts, etc. are all introducing our...
