I have never really cared for massages. Except for those two years I was going to massives almost every weekend and two of the women in the rave fam were learning massage therapy; high on molly while getting a massage in the middle of a cuddle puddle was an otherworldly experience. But otherwise, never really been a fan. I have friends who swear by them. My partner enjoys them because she feels pampered during them. They’re just not for me.
A big part of it is that I consider it a waste of time. With regard to relaxation: meditation. Myofascial release: yoga. Sensuality: intimacy with a friend or partner. I practice yoga regularly, in tandem with my workouts. I find my center on a run or during a strenuous vinyasa. I’m strong, supple, and limber. And relaxation? I check tf out with books or video games.
I really don’t have much to add to this; it was the last thing my partner and I discussed before she went off to bed, and the thing I led with in opening up this post and now I think if I try to continue on, I’ll end up diving way off-topic, so this is it for now.
Anyway, here’s a poster of the beautiful @empathy from her set Symphony of Eva, which really makes me miss my Evangelion manga:
