the sgla screw off party was awesome. i haven't been around much lately and it was great catching up with people. i met a lot of new folks too. i see that a lot of the pictures i took that night have already made it up to the site (thanks to roxymonoxcide, my better half who's much better at posting; and the pic i took for margot_dent is up on her journal (!)).
work is still kicking my ass, but we'll be closing down for the holiday break soon. roxymonoxcide is heading up to sacramento early to spend some extra time with her mom and family, which means for the next week it's get up early, go to work, spend even more time at work (cuz i get depressed being at home by myself, especially this time of year, i'm not all that good with the holidays, i got my reasons), finally go home, sleep, repeat.
i'll be glad when i finally fly up to sacramento.
in other news: i finally got to play bass again. i played with my brother's band, lookout tuscon, since their bass player up and quit on them. i had 2 days notice. to learn 8 songs. it was a lot of fun. my brother and i were always in bands together, 14+ years we played together, toured the country together, but i never played bass while he was on drums. and i think that was the coolest part of the whole thing.
