yeah, what pixxie said. in all seriousness, it became clear to us that not everyone knew, and that some who may have figured it out might've gotten the wrong idea about what's appropriate behavior (read: it doesn't mean you can just start getting your game on), and we felt we should just clear the air in order to avoid any weirdness. i tell you, folks, it wasn't easy for us to decide to just post it on a journal for all to see. so, we hope you understand. most of you do already and treat us with love and respect. and that's one of the reasons we like this little space (and sgla in particular) -- we can be who we are around you folks, and we are sooooooo grateful for that and for the friendships we've made here.

ok, now for an update: life has been tremendously busy -- which is why i haven't updated in so long. it was grammy week, so work was a-buzz + i had to comply with my minimum education requirements (damn state bar) + i've been organizing this dinner/event (which takes place this week). so, yeah, busy. i'm already looking forward to the weekend because (a) sat. is valentine's day, (b) it's a 3-day weekend and (c) i'll finally be done with the event planning and i can relax.

i'm glad we took the time to come out to see voltaire dance. she was absolutely amazing; hands-down the best dancer i've seen. she's amazingly athletic when she's up there and she looks like she could tear you to shreds (ah, blondie). and, of course, seeing everyone again was great. we would've stayed longer but......well, there were other factors at work. still, i LOVE hanging out with all of you. we always have so much fun. i think pixxie and i are going to have to organize something else to get people to come out to the westside again. more on that later.

was watching the grammy's last night and realized that fish from fishbone (one of my favorite bands in the world) was the drummer for justin timberlake! hey, good for him. you gotta make a living.

speaking of that.....i gotta get to work!!
