geeee-awd, it was hot out this weekend! somehow pixxie (now known as boobookittyfuck) was scheduled to work every day this weekend, so this wasn't exactly much of a holiday for us. friday, i spent most of the day out in pacific palisades where i marched in their july 4 parade. then, i went off to my brother's house for a bbq with my family. now, some may raise their eyebrow at this one, but i think it's kinda fun to play......horseshoes....yes, horseshoes. it's kinda like bowling: doesn't require much effort, and can be played while holding a beer. so, i brought a set of horseshoes over to my brother's place, and yes, it was a hit. we ended up playing for a few hours. at night, we lit off the typical array of alhambra-bought fireworks out in the street. but, i swear, those fireworks used to last a lot longer when i was a kid. how did you spend your 4th?

very happily learned of a special edition dvd of the crow, one of my favorite films of all time... of course I had to get it and watch it and all that... good stuff, good good stuff. I also picked up a live cult dvd, which was a mixed bag. musically it was very nearly perfect. vocally, ian astbury was distracted, drugged, or way off his game.
