Today is Independence Day. I've succeeded in reducing fuel consumption over the last year so I guess I'm more independent. I'll be trying to reduce even more over the next year. Kind of like Don Quixote don't you think?
Life is such a roller coaster ride (trite...I know) sometimes so high other times so depressed. The highs are really grand but I think I prefer living in the middle on the way up. The middle on the way down is almost as bad as the bottom...in fact the bottom is always better because then you start going up again. Yes that's it! The way down is full of stressful anxiety as you fight the inevitable and once you accept the bottom (and I think the acceptance defines the bottom) you start back up and begin to feel better.
That last bit was inspired by one of my friends. You know for a "pin up" site there is a lot of substance and depth to the people here.
