Coming out means a lot of things.
The most common coming out is when one is gay and tells all their friends and relatives and then live their life as they are.
Fascinating and takes tremendous courage that truly amazes me.
Coming out is being who you really are.
My novel suffered because I could not be so honest.

Another interview today.
Fingers crossed on this one.
Everything will change but not so much as the one I didn't get.
The perspective from here is different in some ways.
I can understand the desire for security, consistency, and personal traditions even though I think they shut down growth and interesting possibilities.
Something new would be good.
A stretch would be good.

Depending on what you mean by "fun" I try to let myself have a bit of fun as often as I can.
What's fun changes over time...it's not a quality issue either...it's just different...expectations change and so on.
PSU was fun for me.
So you probably should allow yourself to have some fun as you see it now. I also don't think being rational means no fun especially when you are young. Being rational might even add to the quality of the fun you have.
Having said that, I wasn't all that rational when I was younger and had a pretty good time when I was having fun. Not without regrets but you're not pushing the envelope if there aren't a few things you'd have done differently.
With regard to Portland I particularly like the rain. I like what it does for the look of the place but also I just like what some call gloomy days as well as sunny ones.

We are all ultimately alone. Sartre posited that consciousness was evidence of the nothing present in being. We depend on friends and family to not feel alone but not feeling alone does not mean it is not so. It is part of what makes us interesting. It is part of what keeps us apart no matter how hard we try to be part.

I'm not looking for that as any kind of relationship. Not at all. And no, it's not what I want like that. It's just something I feel like doing for a little while. Completely unrelated to relationships.

I just read your posting over again. I jumped to a conclusion that was unwarranted.
Be careful what you tell your friends. You say you're going to look for work and you suddenly get this job lead.
It's really a big deal.
It starts to rule your life (research and reconstruction of your past work) and you haven't even interviewed yet.
If you get the job it will be a choice that changes everything.
Everything.
What to do?
