Another week, yet again over. Looks like i'm into the well-worn track of 'assured' labour. My jobs seem pretty secure, so i'm working a 50+ hour week, but i feel pretty relaxed, almost too relaxed, i have to remember not to be complacent. Last week was tha first Bristol meet and this has just given me more impetus to stay in the city, although London at the moment is my ultimate goal. Temptingly, no-on wants to rent our flat so staying on and resigning our contract is a definite option. Hmmm.... What to do???
Did meet October again on Thurday, for a drink and a break from her studies, she's an absolutely brilliant girl and will make a great SG (her set is up sometime this year). I want desperately to go to one of the London meet ups again, but from the rumours that are circling, things are getting a bit tiring up London way and it seems everyone needs a break. We will see...
Anyhow, i found myself a new haircut, very 80's very electro, must use styling products more often, alternatively i can always revert to the Tilly endorsed 'shaggy indie haircut of grrr-ness'
This quote makes me cry with its lucidity:
"Democracy cannot exist when [people] prefer ideas and opinions to be prefabricted for them. The actions and statements of the citizen must not be mere automatic "reactions" - mere merchanical salutes, gesticulations signifying passive conformity with the dictates of those in power."
