Is it right that someone should have 4 different jobs in the spce of a week?? Well, i am going through that experience, after having all the job agencies shaft me major-style. So, i'm going to be seriously out of pocket come May, i might have to bail on the SGUK events that are forthcoming.
Plus on Monday i was working out in the countryside and got bitten to hell by midges, i'm still scratching!
Well, i can always get work through my camp detective agency!
Oh, and why the hell did i graduate looking like some Ashton Kutchner-yokel hybrid?!?!
Anyway, i try not to wallow in self pity too much, i've had a pretty cool week so far really. went to see the Von Bondies on Tuesday, was supposed to run into Idiot but alas it never happened. I did run into a couple of old friends from my BA and a lovely 'indie' couple they are. Anyway, the Bondies were cool (against kate's advice. Hehe) and i can honestly say that i'm not half as old as i though i was.
Today i'm just sitting in trying not to get pissed off over my lack of work and trying to fill in another mountain of research job application forms that'll put me back where i wanna be, in academia, yes i am a lecturer at heart, well maybe in 7 or so years after a Phd on the importance of the right hand and the losing or disabilty of limbs in culture, (Believe me, its hugely significant and very interesting).
Sidenote: It seems all my university work was derived from studying the causes of human suffering or some vey dark areas of humanity, hmmm
On a similar note, does anyone remember a sick little PC game from 1997 called Carmageddon? Yes? No? Well, this Death Race 2000 rip off of a game has me gleefully running down pedestrians and smashing up police cars in fully dated 3D! Ahh, memories, no wonder i have such an aversion to driving and a misanthropic streak a mile wide (he says as he mows down an entire group of zimmer frame bound grannies), i love sick humour. Anyway, its a good game, much reply value, if you can be bothered to find it...
Whats the old computer game that you play once a year or so because its so good, or brings back good memories?, mine are definitely Half-Life and Carmageddon.

I made it to the gig all those days ago, was OK but not as good as I'd hoped. It was the first time I'd been back there since my first ever gig so it was a bit nostalgic
Hope you get the whole job/money thing sorted soon. It can be a real pain in the arse
