Hmm, this week has been one for giving and recieving presents. Indeed I recieved jiffy bags full of things from both pearlbass and partiallyblind, both made me feel very happy. This goes to show that SG people are probably the most generous people in the world. Well Partiallyblind sent me the new Squarepusher album, seeing as we both have mature and pipe smoking post rock facets to our personality, also in the bag was a few complimentary SG stickers, all of which I keep meaning to stick to surfaces in cool clubs or hand out to potential SG members i meet like some pimp daddy or something. 
Pearlbass, being far too generous sent me not one, but THREE cd's! One of her band Gin Panic who she plays in with Kate, and sound very professional they do too, plus a couple of Bjork cd's which have been stuck on my hi-fi for the last few days, oh and one thing i must voice publically is her wonderful handwriting that puts mine to shame.
Anyway, now to come up with a decent reply to both!
Anther cool thing this week that made me smile is the trailers for both 'Shaun of the Dead' and 'Steamboy', both of which look absolutely amazing in their own paticular ways. I can't wait to see either!
Apart from the presents the week has been pretty mundane, i'm getting pretty lazy in applying for jobs, which you would do after doing them for 2 months with no positive replies. Must try not to get worn down by dull monotony!!
Did go out on Saturday and mixed my drinks no end, to no bad results suprisingly seeing as Guinness, tequila, Jack Daniels, absinthe and lager were all involved. I must have a stronger stomach than i realise! Did end up in Bristol's busiest rock pub, full of old rockers with disdainful looks on their faces and beer guts spilling out,

Did end up chatting with an old friend of mine about All Tomorrows Parties, not that either of us are going, but it made good conversation, especially at the bar when he was trying to impress the alternative and very nice bar girl. The same friend also gave me some advice on DJing, seeing as he used to have his own night, this got me thinking, 80 down, rent the venue and all the equipment, charge on the door, play what you like, hmm, a future idea! Maybe I could make a SG night out of it!!!! Play eclectic, ideally play stuff that pisses people off, being the sarcastic git that I am, ok so NIN followed by Sly & The Family Stone followed by Squarepusher, just to confuse people. Muhahha!
Oh, heres some questions for you all,
1) Name a colour, then write three descriptive words about that colour.
2) Name an animal, any animal, then three descriptive / emotive words that describe that animal.
3) Now name a body of water (anything, a sea, an ocean, glass of water etc), then three descriptive words about that.
4) Finally, three words which to you sum up a description of an all white room with no windows and doors.
Post your answers and i'll get back to you on them, believe me the results are interesting!
