So...went out with online chick Friday night, to an Asian fusion type restaurant called Roka.

It was a fun night - lovely food, online chick was good company - but nothing really clicked.

I'm a little disappointed, but not sorry I was excited about the date in the first place. Plenty more fish in the sea, as they say.

Here fishy, here fishy fishy...

ok I'm pretty stoked right now...

Last week I signed up for a dating agency type thing (hey - I'm 30, single, and in a new town - sue me), and added a few possibilities/hopes to my "favourites" list on the site.

Well I got messaged today by the cutest girl I've seen on the site (she has a photo up with the most fantastic...

Hey thanks...

I considered being all cynical about it in a "protect myself from emotional harm" kind of way...

Then I thought fuck it. I'm stoked about it right now and I'm just going to enjoy that. If I'm riding for a fall (which as you say is likely), then I'll take the fall. Time to let the romantic side be in ascension for a bit - cynical's always there to fall back on.

Meantime we have "a date" next Friday eeek

I liked your comment on my post, and btw, it's kosher around these parts to respond to people's comments in your journal in their journal. Makes it a bit easier to see what you think of our comments.

Nice to see it's going well.

Yay!

My wine arrived smile

I went a bit mad and ordered a case of wine from Virgin wines, since I figured if I'm going to pay 5 a bottle in the supermarket (fairly standard) anyway, I may as well choose stuff I think I'm going to like and get it delivered.

They also give you a list of tasting notes for each bottle, so you...

It was bank holiday here in the UK today, so a long lazy day which I pretty much managed to waste again. Man, one thing keeping a journal does is make you realize when you're not doing anything with your life!

On the plus side I recovered from yesterdays hang over in plenty of time to go running again...the other direction up the canal this...

Just been out for an excellent japanese meal wiith friends.

On the way home, stopped to gaze at the reflection of a block of flats in the canal, and then again to watch the full moon sail behind fluffy clouds.

I wonder if I'd have done either if I hadn't been drinking, or if anyone else in London tonight (I live just outside) even noticed...

Well, welcome, then! Hope you like it here! smile

I've always been a music fanatic, but in the last few years I've developed a competing obsession with film (starting horror films...I've seen far more than any human should sanely wintess).

HAHAHAHA: an evil Willow fetish! Smart man! smile

Yaaaaawn....

Up until 5am last night posing random drivel on groups and noticeboards here, so hopefully I contributed something useful somewhere. More likely it's all drunken rubbish, but hey it was fun smile

And I made a friend - Hi Chelsea!

Woke up when the plumber rang the doorbell at 12:30 (shower exploded last week) and looked pretty sheepish letting him in in my underwear. On...

OK...so, my new mission (well, it's not really new - it's a couple of weeks old, but close enough) is to run off the chubby little spare tyre around my midriff (wich appeared overnight, oddly enough, the day I turned 30) and return to the skinny little boy shape I know you girlies love to love kiss

One look at my avatar there should tell you...

Well flat text is easy to misunderstand, so while I think language is an art and people should express themselves as themselves and be taken for what they say yada yada yada...using a wink or a smile let's you know what my expression is while I'm wriiting....

so emoticons are good smile

Particularly if you have my sense of humour or, so it sounds, yours wink

I'll have fun checking out your friends profiles tomorrow...it's 5am here, so I think it might be a good idea to crash.

Goodnight, and if it doesn't sound too cheesy: Thankyou for picking me up as a friend.

biggrin bok miao!! ooo aaa
