My opinion :
I want to say that I don’t understand the controversy about this cover. It is a tribute to “Killing Joke”. The Joker is unhealthy and psychopath. Moreover, it is a variant cover! You hear, a “VARIANT”! So people who do not like this cover just don’t buy! And finally, I want to tell you that I discovered this illustration yesterday because they are several girls on my Facebook friends who have posted it and loved it. Even on Tumblr, I see on my dashboard that there are lots of girls who love and reblog this comic book cover . This illustration is not an apology for violence against women but a tribute to a particular story that was, I admit, dark, violent and unhealthy but it was the context of this story. To canceled this cover of Rafael Albuquerque is ridiculous in my opinion. I know this is Rafael Albuquerque himself who asked DC Comics to cancel the release of this cover, but would he ask this without this absurd controversy? Does it require prohibiting the next editions of “Killing Joke” when you know its contents?
