At some point yesterday I started thinking about the ideology I've built up around the concept of love and I realized it just isn't working out for me. It (the ideology) is unsatisfactory. So I had a pretend conversation with my therapist and let myself speak through her, and came up with a pretty good conclusion. I'm just going to scrap it all and start over. When I tested this idea for validity from what I've learned about philosophy, it seemed to pretty much be the most appropriate course of action. So now I have to respond to the process of love and romance with everything but my a priori assumptions about it stripped away.
