Yes, it has a cover already but not a last chapter...
After that all I've got to do is...
I was actually realising when talking in the pub about this that this book is very mathematical to an almost OCD inducing degree.
Its written in verse and everything is in multiples of fours, eights and sixteens (its as musical as it is mathematical, which is why its constructed this way)
Its even down to the point that different characters have different 'step' which effects the amount of lines in each verse where they are present.
You can tell which character is dominent in a conversation, for example, by how many lines there are in each verse of the conversation.
Its totally superflous to the plot but its a subconsciouss mechanic which keeps the reader bobbing along like nodding their head to a song but then when something unexpected happens the beat goes off key and produces a disruptive effect.
Its like breakbeat- its hard to explain but I think it works...
So meanwhile this is me in 'writers block in front of the 'puter' pose:
That's actually possibly me just having an idea at that moment...
Other than that, I'm just doing some social stuff- my movie group is joining up with the London goth group to have a free pub screening of Tale of Two Sisters soon- never seen it on a big screen where its meant to be seen!!
Today I've mainly been watching the overly theatrical but entertaining Azumi 2
Mainly because Aya Ueto is very cool in a 'one-girl-with-a-sword-annihilating-an-entire-ninja-army-and-looking-good-doing-it' kind of way.
Oh and of course, this:
I really need to leave that aside and keep writing...
