So my weekend was Epic and Amazing all at the same time. I got to hang out lots with my oldest friend in the world (we're approaching our 23rd anniversary) and I also got to see a couple of my other friends and consume a fair amount of Cider :o)
Highlights of the weekend include the following:
Meeting lots of Randoms at a Good Friday "indoor BBQ"
Free entry to the Ideal Home Exhibition where i purchased an almost sexual Granny Shopper. It's hot, trust me.
My first experience of an Oxygen bar, I sampled a variety of flavours and came to the conclusion: Rum flavoured oxygen is Disgusting
An excellent Sunday lunch in Clapham
Spending the Coach journey to London sat next to somebody I actually knew, rather than the usual old lady who wants to talk my ear off
Royksopp, Front Row Centre
Darren's face when we bumped into Royksopp in the lift at the after party (I don't think I've ever seen him gobsmacked before)
Royksoppp were Awesome. Fact. I'm usually a "hang around near the back" kinda gal so being so close was an unusual experience. It was a seated gig there was no mosh pit to contend with, and it was easy to get to the bar as there was no crowd to fight my way through. We did however end up jumping around like loons (I had to jump as the stage was level with my nose!) Go see them if you get the chance, it definately wasn't what I was expecting. Here are a few photos from the gig
