Well, for some reason I decided to get on the scale to weigh myself yesterday. The last time I was weighed, it was at my physical back in May and I was at 212lbs. Yesterday, when I weighed myself I was at 200lbs. So, the exercise and healthy-ish eating is paying off. I haven't been this "weight" for a long time. I'm moving in the right direction and that makes me extremely happy.
When I first started to commit to myself to a healthier lifestyle I was at 246. This was about four years ago. So, the exercise and better eating choices are paying off. It was a gradual "descent", but I committed myself to doing this and that's what I did. And I'm not going to stop. I'm going to keep this up.
Mainly, I'm doing it for myself. I'm not trying to "shame" anybody, because everybody knows what is best for them. This is what is best for me. I'm just very proud of myself, because I've really committed myself to it.
So, remember if there is something important you need to do, and you feel it might be too difficult, no matter what it is, all it takes is one first step. I mean, I haven't had a cigarette for 12 years and took me about three tries for it to finally stick. And I never want to go back to that.
So, you can do it.
