Sorry, I haven't posted much recently. A lot has been going on. Not a lot of it good (though that mainly concerns work). But some good. I got my first shot of the vaccine a few weeks ago, so I go back in to get my second dose. Hope I don't have any side effects. But I am looking forward to it.
I'm doing a cover story for the magazine I write for, on "mysterious" hardcore collective The Armed. I interviewed two members, other writers interviewed other members (six in total), the producer of their new record, and their record label. It's going to be it's own separate section within the magazine, printed on a different paper from the rest of the issue. A zine within a zine. It's going to be cool. The online version should be coming out on April 16 because that's when their new record, "Ultrapop" drops. Those familiar with the band will know what to expect from it. Meaning no expectations. I'll post the online version here when it goes live. Unfortunately, to see the print version you have to live in the US. The magazine is called New Noise. (I know there is a European magazine of the same name, too. How do I know? People were dissing a list I wrote of top noise rock groups I wrote for the publication. I posted it in a noise rock group on FB that I was a member of, and they all went after me, the magazine, everything. I don't belong to that group anymore. Elitist assholes.) Anyway, look for it. Quite proud of it. It's my first cover story for a national publication. Better late than never, I guess.
I'm also down some weight. I lost five more pounds, so I'm down to 210 lbs. I added some jogging days to the DDP Yoga I do. I'm actually started to show a little definition in my mid-section. Nothing like some of the people on here post, but it's getting there. Keep moving forward. Do the work, it will eventually pay off, if you're persistent.
Wow, I was going to talk about how work sucks and how I crashed my car into a snowbank on my way home from work during a snowstorm on Super Bowl Sunday. (It just wrecked the fender. I was ok. Thankfully it wasn't worse. And it happened literally a mile from my house.)
Anyway, hope you're all doing well. I have to cook dinner, so I'll see you all later.
Cheers.
