Well, I officially go back to the Whole Foods where I work in about a week. I'm a bit nervous. I work on the front end (cashier area) and much has changed, since I took this leave. (A lot of people took the leave, too.) That picture I posted recently on there took place when I went in shopping and to talk to my Team Leader about how things have changed at the store. Not happy with some of it, but I need the job, so I will try to make the most of it. Hopefully, I can become a Prime Shopper (that's a person who shops for customers who put orders in on the internet), but if I don't get that, I'll do my best at what I'm given, and see if there are positions available on other teams. The way they have things now, is that I would be doing less (and even not doing a few things I enjoy), because we have people from other departments doing certain tasks because some departments lost sales and these people need to work. So, we'll see how it goes.
Our state, Connecticut, which is in the Northeast United States, did Phase 1 of their re-opening last week. We were given until June 1 to return, or take an even longer leave, so I decided to back. I don't judging from the mood in the store, everybody, is a bit angry. Both customers and my co-workers. The customers are always like that though. You think having the money to spend at a store like ours wouldn't make them so angry, but they are. A bit spoiled, I think.
When I showed last Friday to shop a bunch co-workers expressed how much they missed me, so I'm going to try to focus on those people instead of the people I don't get along with. I was quite surprised on how many people were happy to see me. Most of them aren't on my team, but I'll work around that.
So, I'm going to try to enjoy this final week away. I hope the rest of you are staying safe and sane and if you have to return to work, you take all the precautions to protect yourself.
Have a good one.
