Allo.
It's not nearly as cold here as it will be for winter, but the change in temperatures (that falls down to the thirties at night) has left everyone with sinus colds. Soon approching is the time where I never am without my Carhartts and a hoody. Heat here in Wisconsin is outrageously priced (which causes infant and elderly deaths in low income situations) and so most people just layer up and do not use heat at all. Many times, when I visit friends down in the River West area of Milwaukee, icicles can be found on the inside of windows.
I can't fathom the idea of never having seen and been stuck in a blizzard or to not even have seen snow at all. There are people who haven't had to walk somewhere in sub zero weather that is actually thirty below because of the wind chill. People have never had icicles fall on their head and draw blood, have never been hit in the groin (male) or chest (female) by a snow/ice ball, and to never have appendages (ears, fingers, and toes) turn red or purple from the cold.
I would not give these things up. The memories belonging to Winter here are some of my fondest.
Cheers.
