After dealing with everything with Allie, I am starting to be able to read again. I over four hundred pages into the fifth Harry Potter book. I wanted this to be the first book I finished before seeing the film, but I am pleased with finishing just under half the book before seeing the film this past weekend. The film and the book are very different, as is usually the case with book/film adaptations. I just felt that some really major things were left out.
This weekend is the Wizard World Comic Convention in Chicago. It has ben between six and eight years since the lat time I went. If everything goes alright, I should be there with my brother and sister and hanging out with my friends Drew. John and Dale at their table helping to promote their film
Better Off Undead
I will also be spending a good chunk of my time with my friend Jacon who works for Image flatting and coloring books, some of his work includes flats for Savage Dragon, Invincible, Walking Dead, Hector Plasm, Tales from the Bully Pulpit, Wester Tales of Terror (and more) and also colors for Hector Plasm and the upcoming Popgun anthology. All in all, if everything works out, we should have a good night and I should finally get to meet Tony Moore and his woman Kara in person rather than just through the computer world.
A Hector Plasm page, to promote Jacon.
In a few weeks time, Lloyd Kaufman's newest and possibly final Troma film Poultrygeist will be making it's United States debut in Milwaukee. Here is a music video from it:
It should be grand!
That is all for now. It is very humid here and I am sweating, so it is time to sit in front of the fan and finish watching Zodiac and Hot Fuzz.
Cheers, Bini
