Awesome! check out my invitation to the magazine screening of Northfork, the upcoming release from the Polish brothers. It looks like an amazing film, with pleasantly Lynchian overtones and visually stunning, and I get to go to a private screening that the directors will be attending for interviews! Rocks to be me! This is admittedly for the student paper as opposed to something really glam but I don't mind, the invite is glam enough!
Best moment of the Amnesty International gig curated by Zane Lowe last night was when Zane waved a cd at me that I'd given to him earlier and headed for the gents, at which point I commanded 'Hey, go do your business then come over and talk to me!' and he DID! Shit, I was rude to my media hero and he was still cool!! We chatted for a while because I wanted to know how I could be him one day i.e how to make it in the industry, and he was really helpful but also really sweet and not half as arrogant as I would be if I were him! The bands he put on were Hundred Reasons, Snow Patrol and the Nextmen. I hate Hundred Reasons but the others rocked! Nice one.
