Journal time!
I'm back in South Beach. It's so good to be home. I spent most of my time in Newport either cleansing my body of all impurities or loading it back up again with those same impurities. What fun.
The vow of silence is an amazingly difficult goal to achieve if you want to interact on any level with anyone - I guess maybe that's the point. I did have two solid days of non-communication, which was nice, but not as quieting as I had thought. Not like being at sea for a few weeks. Now that's a treat.
I got some work done by Fred Smith while I was in Newport. Two four-hour sessions on the same piece, two days apart. A bit painful, especially the second session... but well worth it. It's nice to be healing again. It had been too long.
As I mentioned, my Alienware laptop had to be returned for quality reasons and I lost all SG-related e-mails and addresses. So that's a drag. But merely an obstacle - and one not too tough to overcome.
On a completely separate topic...
I'm not trying to judge or generalize, but what is going on with the people that look at a new photo set and post things like "NICE TITS!" or "...drool...drool..."? Isn't that kind of, well... fucking stupid? Is it so difficult to avoid writing a completely degrading remark? I've only posted one comment to any photo set (Quinne's bathing suit in the sunshine set, if you were curious) and it was just a thank you - even that felt a bit weird, almost contrived. I can certainly appreciate appreciation, but it just doesn't read that way to me. Just an opinion.
It's great to be back on SG with a decent net connection. And, again, it's great to be home. I hope all is well with my friends out there.
