71.
71 Pages of blog entries over the last 10+ years of being here. While it may not be as many as some, it's quite a lot for me. It's amazing, and slightly terrifying, to have that out in the world for me (or anyone else) to access whenever I want. I've always been the type to cling to things though. Old letters, pictures, ticket stubs... mementos. I've gone through moments when I burned those things and instantly felt regret, but since I couldn't do anything about it I taught myself to let it go. Remember to forget. Forget to remember.
Going through some of the earliest of blogs here, it is so very apparent how young I was. It's also very apparent how some things never change even as the years go by. I wrote a lot of balderdash, but I also wrote some pretty funny shit. It's nice to be able to reflect on thoughts I had years ago, that are still relevant now. For instance, "Icarus fell, but at least he flew.". Thank you old me for reminding new me that I still need to take risks.
Another favorite that I found, " Your attempt at being hot failed as much as my attempt at being sober." . Thinking back on it though, I still can't figure out who I was writing it about. Oh the alcohol fueled days of my youth...
Like I said, it's very apparent how some things never change.
