Ok... so I'm in Cannes today. Paid 80 euros to (literally) sit on the beach all day. That included two chairs, a parasol, our lunches (of basically two appetizers), a glass of champagne, a bottle of sparkling water and a bottle of still water. In my opinion, totally worth it. Was asked to go on a 800,000 euro boat to St. Tropez, but we declined.
So far we've done Paris, and then rented a car. Drove down towards the south of France. Stopped in Orange for a night and spent the day there the next day. Drove down to Marseille and had dinner and bottle of wine. Then drove to Cannes where we've been for the last two days. Tomorrow we get up early and head to Nice for lunch and a bit of exploring, then to Monaco to drive some of the and maybe go to le Rocher or "the rock". I've been there already though, so we probably won't stop and see it. Then off across the border into Italy for dinner. San Remo to be exact. Then we'll probably stay in San Remo for the night, or start heading back to Paris. The car is due back Monday, so we'll need to get it back.
Then we're back in Paris for 4 more nights. I still need to go to the catacombs and the Pere Lachaise cemetery. We're totally going to be tourists and go to a show at the Moulin Rouge. Neither of us have ever gone, even though combined we've been to Paris 6 times. We're also going to do some other stuff. Yeah, stuff.
I think I've completely exceeded my mercury intake for the next year. I've eaten tuna at least once every day I've been here. I really want pizza. Damn no soy cheese. Actually, there's a lot of soy meat substitutes in the natural grocery stores i've found. Not as hard for me to eat here as I thought. I just have to watch my wheat intake which has been REALLY hard to do. Lots of bread, cookies, and pastries. SO GOOD.
Ok, gotta go to bed now.
Kisses
