Ugh, I think I'm getting sick. Though, I think I might have done it to myself. Drinkin lots of tea, and goin through lots of tissues.
I had a good long weekend. Had monday off for presidents day.
Saturday: I went to the fabric store and then to the craft store. I came home with the intent to work on my costume for the Brothers Grimm Ball, but came home and slept instead. Ordered pizza for dinner and hung out with my love.
Sunday: Woke up and grabbed donuts and coffee, as per usual on Sundays. Then we buckled down and did some spring cleaning. Yeah, yeah, I know it's not Spring... believe me I tried to use that excuse with the boy, but no deal. It's ok though, because our room needed it. We moved the bed and cleaned out the bathroom. I really like the new layout. We took a break and went to look at some lofts for sale up the street. I don't know why we torture ourselves. The thought of not renting though, is so pleasing. The lofts were nice. Nothing wowing, but still nice. I think we're going to fill out the paperwork for the BMR unit lottery. Figure, why not? Came back home, ordered Chinese, and I threw together my costume for the ball (pictures later), ate Chinese, and then off we went. It was fun. We tried to waltz, but it turned out to be too much of a cluster fuck with all of the people. Speaking of fucking... nevermind... Sunday was a good day.
Monday: For some crazy reason I woke up at 8am and couldn't go back to sleep. So I got up and cleaned the whole downstairs. Got it all done before J even woke up. Which, if you knew him, you would know that that's a pretty tough feat with how light he sleeps. Not to mention how much I hate to clean. But, I knew he would appreciate it since we were out late and the last thing I know he wanted to deal with was a messy house when he's hungover. After he got up we went to IKEA. Made it out of there spending less than $100. Though, we were really just there to plan what we needed to get and how big of a car we'd need the next time. Stopped at the mall next door to grab some food, and discovered through trying mine that J can eat Mahi Mahi. Woot! Another fish I can start cooking at home for us. We got home and just vegged the rest of the day. I needed it. I looked at some other lofts for sale and found one in Emeryville/West Oakland that I loved. Turns out that it was in the same building of another loft that J was going to buy a few years back. Funny. Sorta. But something has to be wrong when I think, huh 575k for a place isn't so bad. In retrospect though, it is a 3 bedroom with a huge patio and roughly 1650 Sqft. *sigh. I suppose it really isn't that much, but I don't have that kinda money right now. Give me a couple years.
Anyhow- that was my novel of a weekend. Hope yours was just as fun.

I walked into a loft for sale once, at the corner of maybe Bryant and 17th or so. It was around $500k and so so so so TINY! insane.

Ohh! home-shopping is fun. I was thinking about moving to one of those new condos downtown. That would be ever so convenient.
