Yay! Mom's here!
Went and saw the new Harry Potter on the IMAX. It didn't suck as much as I had anticipated. Not the movie, but watching it on the IMAX. I just couldn't find a reason for wanting to watch a normal film so huge. It really wasn't that bad though, and the movie was good. Originally we went to go see Syriana, but about a 1/4 (if that) of the way through it we walked out. Not that it wasn't good, but there were so many talkers, late comers, and snifflupugus' that it was unbearable. We decided that it's a movie that would be better watched at home were we can hear it and pay attention. Plus, it's almost like being at the movies when we watch it at home projected on the wall. I also watched 2046, the loose based sequel to In the Mood for Love. I didn't care for either. The costuming is awesome, though I feel the story lacks. It's like it's trying to be so poetic, but it doesn't really come out that way. Eh.
Did my second class of acrobatics yesterday. Found out that my body is not built for handstands. Literally. My arms don't go straight, my bones bow. Because of that, my elbows can't really lock, and all of my weight has to be held up by my arms instead of having my shoulders help. It's not that I can't do them, it just means that they're a thousand times harder to do. Which is fine, I don't mind working harder, but it does look like I'm going to be more of an aerialist than an acrobat. My stretching is definitely getting better, and my flexibility is getting better along with it. Speaking of flexible, I went to see the Mystic Pixies on Saturday for a benefit they were doing. Holy shit those girls can tie themselves up like a pretzel. They're super cute. I talked with a couple of them yesterday after class. I looked at pictures of them and one of them was them preforming at the DNA with the Flying Tiger Circus. Reminded me to find out if that was going to happen again this year. I don't think so, but I hope so. Branding extraveganza. Mostly I'm hoping they have it again so I can have a do over of last year. Which was awful.
Today: French food for lunch at Butler & the Chef, and Japanese food for dinner at Ozumo
Tomorrow: Taking off of work, going to an early aerial class, and then I dunno.
Saturday: Lunch at the Rotunda in Neiman Marcus, Cristal champagne, and a housewarming party where more champagne (veuve to be exact) will be consumed.
Sunday: Brunch? maybe.
Kisses
