Pain: a poem written for someone very special to me that I hope I can help through this journey we call life.

I can see your pain
It makes you feel as if you may go insane
It shoots straight to the very heart of you
It keeps memories alive of all you have been through
And makes you question who is the real you

You have been through a lot this past year
Almost more then you can bare
I can see it in your eyes
As part of you dies

You blame yourself for things out of your control
The pain is etched in your soul

Your demons battle inside
Ripping you apart, never to subside

Restless is the tiger inside you
I hope my wish for you comes true
That you will finally be at peace
And all of this chaos will cease

Till then I will take your wounded soul
And place it in my heart
and protect you till you once again become whole
and the time has come for me to part
