Forever Night

For how ever long the sun shines bright,
to me it will always be forever night.

Forever night in my heart you see,
that is all it will forever be.

The fire that once burned in my heart
disappeared when it was torn apart.

For I gave that fire in my heart,
to one I thought that would never part.

For I gave that fire to the one I thought loved me,
& off he ran so we would never be.

Others have come & tried to set my heart aflame,
but this will never be,
for he is to blame,
I'm sorry to say
that my fire went away.
