Went to see the Presidents of the USA last week in Amsterdam. It was awesom again. Brought two friends who didn't know them, but they where pleasantly surprised. After the concert there was a second gig in the basement. That band reminded me a lot of Siouxie and the Banshees and Anne Clark (Love is just a paradox, he loves me, he loves me not). Very eighties. But good. They where called Selebrities.
I try to upload a video I made with my iPhone. This is the Presidents playing Froggy. Afterwards there is a funny T-shirt show on stage with band T-shirts.

evilgasm:
I've heard gret things about Presidents live. Friend of mine saw them in paradiso for New Years Eve several years back, was raving about the concert. Really have to see them live some day...

I never ever saw a band in Paradiso who was able to get everybody sitting on the ground, just because they asked for it. And yes, even the 'cool guys' in the back sat down. It was the most impressive moment ever at a concert in my live. And yes, that says something. Because I saw performing in Paradiso: Nirvana, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Blur, The Cramps, The Black Crows, The Ramones and many, many more.
