1/23: If you could go back in time and change one thing from your past what would it be? & random stuff.
For homework recently, @CHARMAINE @MISSY @LYXZEN and @RAMBO asked us, If you could go back in time and change one thing from your past what would it be?
And I thought about it, the numerous things I wish had never happened, or the missed opportunities I didn’t take and I decided that id change absolutely nothing. I guess that I just think that life is made up of some many little innumerous moments and emotions that define who we are, your past makes you, and if I changed something even something seemly tiny, things could change & right now I’m happy with life, yes its not perfect but I’m generally happy.
I mean yeah, ever seen The Butterfly Effect ;)

So my studies today (before going on to bore me with little black dresses) explored the ideals of home and now I can’t stop thinking about much of a multilayered concept “home” is! Especially after constant trips two and from where I am now and where I am from.
In her study of students in the Netherlands, Irene Cieraad (2010: 91) found that:
“students exemplified that ‘home’ is a multilayered concept. The parental home is often the first layer, but ‘going home for the weekend’ is a more complex announcement. It refers not only to a former setting of a family life, to a house, and to a family reunion, but also to a former social setting which extends beyond the walls of the house.”
I guess I just have two homes, where I technically live but most importantly where I feel happiest surrounded by the people that make me that way. Its strange, I guess after all this time of wanting to get away from home I finally realised the people I surrounded myself with make wherever they are my home.
