To my usual favorites, you know I love you. I need a change of pace, though, so I'm going to start mixing it up a bit. Hope ya don't mind
I'm in an uncharacteristically good mood tonight.
So what's up? Not much. I'm home tonight...bored silly...watching the Washington Wizards and Cleveland Cavaliers play a damn fine basketball game.
Later, I'll probably watch Friday Night Lights on DVD. Earlier this week I saw Closer with Clive Owen, Jude Law, Natalie Portman and Julia Roberts. Even though I am not usually inclined to like this sort of film, I thought it was excellent. Clive Owen prowls the screen like a panther. I know everyone's all about Jude Law, but I thought Clive stole the show. Natalie Portman was her usual excellent self, as well. All in all, I have to give this one the thumbs up.
I also had the misfortune of watching the highly predictable Saw this week. I can't possibly be the only one who figured this out about 30 minutes into it, can I? Anyway, it loses points for being a partial ripoff of the vastly superior Seven and for having the perenially annoying Cary Elwes in it. Thumbs down for this stinker.
Oh yeah...season 4 of The Shield is in full swing on F/X and it's better than ever. Glenn Close is on the show this year and, so far, she's been great. I don't watch a lot of TV, but this is one show I make sure not to miss. With no Sopranos or 6FU going, F/X has had my favorite two shows...The Shield and nip/tuck. If you've never caught this one, check it out on Tuesdays at 10pm est. Of course, if you're not into cop shows at all, then you'll probably hate it, but oh well. I'm a definite fan.
Has anyone been watching the Jeopardy Tournament of Champions this week? I have and, I swear, they're lobbing soft questions at these guys to make them look good. I've seen tougher questions during the Teen Tournament.
Oh well, this is about as light and fluffy a journal entry as I've had in months. I must be coming down with something.
2 weeks from tonight, I'll be seeing the Wedding Present.

I haven't seen Un Chein Andalou for years, and haven't listened to the Pixies for years, so I don't know where that came from. I guess my bored subconscious mind.
