I went out to LA last week with my brother. he got onto American Ninja Warrior.
We had a fucking blast going out there. He didn't get to the next round. He fell of the rotating bridge (not sure what the technical term is but if you are familiar with the show you know what I am talking about).
It was cool to be out there and as luck would have it my dad and step mom were out there simultaneously taking my sister to Disneyland so we all got to watch the even out on Venice Beach.
I spent a total of 8.5 hours out there watching Ninja Warrior and managed to get find shade constantly up until the last 30 minutes or so. Got myself a nice sunburn on my arms and face. My nose is peeling at the moment.
Every time I head out to the West coast I remember how much I sincerely dislike it.
The Pacific Northwest Area is fantastic but I would say that that southern 80% of California is not my cup of tea. Kind of sad because there is so much to do out there but the vibe just irritates the shit out of me.
On the way back we stopped over in Vegas but we were running late and pretty fucking broke.
I introduced my brother to the wonderful world of roulette. Took him a minute to get into it but by the end he realized how fantastic the game is. Anyway here is a pic of my brother landing the rope swing on Ninja Warrior.
All in all it was nice to get out and hang out with my family and get out of New Mexico for a bit but the time off has left me in a serious financial strain. My paycheck was FAR lower than I expected, I am fairly certain that I have over drafted my account and there is not really a way that I can take care of that until I get back in 3 weeks.
Oh Money.... it always ruins my shit.
If there is some SG New Mexico stuff going on while I am out here I would like to go. I see that I missed the "Jules and Bettina's Pretty Things Peepshow" and am a bit upset about that.
Much love to you all,
