Ugh. Tell me about it! I hardly drive because costs associated with having a car totally blow. Yeah, gas prices are starting to go down, but between car payments, gas, insurance, and regular maintenance, it's a wonder I'm not in the poor house 
Vegan cakes have absolutely no eggs nor dairy. There are lots of yummy substitutes that can be used in place of eggs and milk (like applesauce, bananas, soy milk, etc.) There's a vegan bakery down the street from where I live, and although I'm not exactly what they use for their substitutes, their stuff is delicious! All of my non-vegetarian friends love their treats too.
