So, I saw two things in the last couple minutes that really disturb me. One of them was on the news and the other on msn.com.
In the news, they are currently discussing the effect of Evangelical Christians on the election. Now, I just think it's really sad that our president is going to be elected based on the feelings of ANY religious group. Religion and government aren't supposed to be the same thing. Isn't that one of the reasons that they assassinated JFK? Weren't people worried that the pope was going to have influence on the decisions made by our president? So why are things so different now? Evangelical Christians were just labelled in the news as "a force to be reckoned with." That shouldn't be the case at all, but it's a sad fact that it IS the case. I just believe, like the dude said in Silent Hill, that there are different types of justice: there is god's justice and man's justice. I believe they shouldn't be the same thing.
The other thing I saw was on msn.com when I came to write this blog. One of today's topics was about financial advice for men and women going through divorce, titled "How to Leave Your Wife" and "How to Leave Your Husband" respectively. Now, am I the ONLY person who sees something wrong with that? I understand that divorce is a difficult thing to go through because I watched my parents go through it when I was in the 8th grade and to this day, neither one of them has forgotten about it. I hate that it gets brought up so much and at the most inopportune times, but I guess that's neither here nor there. The point is, are we REALLY advertising this kind of stuff in such a way that it sounds like tips to get rid of your spouse?
I think about how "you create your own happiness" a lot, but it just seems to get more and more difficult as the general population of the world continues down this path of self destruction. Then again, maybe I am an irreparably morbid motherfucker. Who knows?

thank u for ur comment on the STARFUCK(ER)S set that was very nice of you.
And ur right btw, about the happiness thing; it is awefully hard to be a happy person, when ur surrounded in (what this world is) gloomy.
then again, if we were not at some point, insanely unhappy and miserable, we wouldn't be able to experience "happiness" of any kind...
if u wanna get all philosophical
hope u have a great day - ur comment made mine!
