It's been not since the month of May the last time I've come out of my hiding place from the rest of the world. However, recent events have given me cause to rejoin the rest of my species,.. even if just for a moment.
The most recent event happened just moments ago. I painted another mural,... actually more like a mini mural, just a small morsel of a mural, you might say! It was actually a collaborative exercise. The name of this project was titled "Exquisite Corpse". While I had initially imagined this to be a mural of cadavers in various states of decay, the reality of the situation was far from it. Basically, the project was broken down into three phases. In phase one, the artist would paint the head,. phase two the next artist would paint the body, and phase three the lower half of whatever was left below. So, the idea is that someone starts off the theme of our exquisite corpse with a head, and then, me being in the second phase, I add the body. Simple enough I say.
I feel that I lucked out big time that day. The head I got to work with turned out to be a pink robot babe of some sort. I wasn't sure at first where to go with building a body for her. But when the idea of having her arms and legs ripped out of her, leaving her just a dangling torso with batteries dripping out her bottom came to my mind,... it was good. So that's what I, and I think it turn out okay!
Here's a shot of this crazy corpse completed!
..and some additional shots of me painting it throughout the day.
and that's the wraps on that. Thanks for reading!
