Death is a funny part of life. Last Monday as I was driving to the train station with my uncle I saw a dead cat, possibly kitten
on the road. We needed to catch the train but I did really want to turn around and check the poor animal for a collar with their owner's contact information. Sadly I listened to my uncle and went to catch the train and I pretty much regret this decision. If anything happened to my dog Kodi I would much rather have someone stop, take 5 minutes from their life and let me know the sad truth even if it was them who killed my baby. As a human being I should have turned the car around and informed the family but I didn't. Boo to me.
Last week one of my co-workers was out for the week her sister-in-law died from cancer last weekend. The sister-in-law was 69 years old (my co-worker gave me a prayer card), I remember talking to her 3 weeks ago (not the lady who died) and how the family and doctors were optimistic the lady would recover. 2 weeks ago they told the lady that the cancer was back and then they gave her up to 3 months to live, last week she passed. I know my co-worker's sister-in-law was sick for a few months, Brenda is an older lady, but is a real sweet heart and very funny I enjoy my time speaking with her. I prayed for her sister-in-law and I really was hoping she would recover, the sudden death was tough especially since the doctors had said 3 months. Cancer is a real grade A bitch. Brenda has my support though and I really hope all of the family gets through this tough time.
Another death I learned about last week was that of my sister's sorority sister. Not sure exactly what happened but this young girl fell 16 stories and most likely died on impact. Homicide, suicide, accident? I am not really sure all I know that this is a tragedy for my sister, her sisters and Pace University. I pray for them all the best and I pray for the poor girl who passed away.
Stay safe everyone and if you ever see a dead pet on the road you should stop, report it and try to get in contact with the owners, don't do what I did.
