I got sucked back into Halo 2. After reading a Bungie Humpday Challenge featuring the 8-Bit Brigade, I thought I would visit their forum and see what they were about. They sounded like a bunch of gamers I would like a chance to play with.
I got to play a lot of games with them on Friday night, some on Sunday, and then I played again with an old Live friend today. It has been fun. Getting a big party of 8-12 together on Live and entering into the new playlist Team Carnage is a blast. It really is the only way to play that playlist, otherwise people quit like crazy.
Work is insanly slow, but went by fast thanks to _aurora_ (she knows why
) It went from 170 rooms to 8 tonight. Fun...
I get to do wakeup calls because the Voicemail/Wakeup Call computer is down. It broke about 4 days ago, but it is taking them forever to fix/replace it. Then the computer that monitors and accesses the movie/game services to all the rooms freaked out and won't let us access it. They are at least 12 years old, so it wasn't a big surprise that they died. That is how things go here, they don't replace anything until it is broken. Even if maintenance has told them that the company that makes and services something like the Key Card Machine needs to be replaced because it is too old and that is why it is acting up.
2 weeks later, after having tons of problems coding cards, it died completely during one of our busiest weekends. It was down for 5 days! That meant opening doors for EVERY guest that needed it. Hiring an extra person to be a runner and scheduling more people to work more hours. Sure it is a $8000 piece of equipment, but we make that in one full house day. The money lost in people cutting their stay short with us, or not staying at all, and the extra help cost them much more than getting that machine earlier.
God I hate the management here.

both ears are right where they should be, luckily I cut my own hair, or rather shave my own hair. Just had a stomach bug so I thought being a man I'd go over board and make and make it sound worse than it really was
