I didn't even hesitate when SG approached me about shooting for the 20th anniversary. I mean, OBVIOUSLY I wanted to do that. I've always been here to push the envelope, and shooting a set at 46 is definitely outside the traditional bounds.
The only question I had was WHAT I wanted to shoot. I mean, y'all know me. At least, y'all that been around a minute. It's gotta be weird. It's gotta be dark. It's gotta send at least a few members off to the complaint department.
So, how do you shoot a set like that, but make it about the different ways society sees men and women as they age?
The tribute set seemed like the obvious choice. And who to do a tribute to was easy, too. I’m a huge Peaky Blinders fan. Plus, I'm just about the same age as Cillian Murphy, and he's busy playing the sexiest character on TV. After that it was just a matter of finding a tiny enough suit, and Penny took it from there.
Happy anniversary, and I hope y’all enjoy this as much as I enjoyed putting it together.
