Good morning, SG peeps! I have a new set in Member Review for you to enjoy: Ate The Canary, photographed by the amazing Cherry.
There are a few things I should tell you about this set. First off, it was shot at Comic Con. We had six rooms in a really nice hotel for the weekend to shoot in. When I got there, a sort of panic had already set in. Yes, we had more than a dozen hot chicks, a number of photographers, six rooms, and a whole weekend to shoot. But, all six rooms ended up being IDENTICAL down to the last inch. OK, I thought, I'll make do. I'll just rearrange shit. After all, the hotel room I shot Black Balloon in was hellish until I took all the furniture apart and threw it out into the hall. But as it turns out, every single thing- including the headboard and the bad art- was BOLTED to the wall. Photographer's nightmare.
I wanted to do this set very badly. I've wanted to shoot with Cherry forever, and I had spent quite a while making the bird cage (it was cut out of heavy cardboard with dull scissors), and I refused to give up on shooting. So, huge props to Cherry who shot around our horrendously taupe environment and managed not to get the bolted-to-the-wall ugly hotel bed in the shots, and woke up at 8 am to make this happen.
