if U follow my blog a bit, U might know I am working together with touring bands as a merchandiser. I did 67 show in a role from October to X-mass.
As a merchandiser I have some tricks to get some extra money. Its not much, just to cover my extra coffee and choco needs at gas stations.
First trick: I sell ear plugs. If U are on a loud show, U might will need them. If U dont have, U always can ask the merchandiser. Some colleagues only get mad if U ask them, some of us actually have for sale.
Trick 2: In Europe costumers are not tiping so much, but if U remind them... Maybe. I used to have some funny tip boxes, like "tiping is not a city in china", "tiping is sexy", "beer after work", etc.
But I had a brilliant idea before this tour: "Merch girl's tattoo money"
Gooooood!! It worked sooo well. Actually I collected enough for 2 full sessions at my tattooer. So we could finish my chest we started it in May. (If I remember well...)
So, here its a picture for you. I shot it right after I came home after the tattoo session, so it will change a bit, but I will see in my next set, anyway.
