XII DEATH: A woman cloaked, carrying a curved blade, an apple tree in the background with a spider hanging out in its intricate web. She is holding an apple out in front of her.
This card usually signifies that we have reached the end of a developmental process it is time to re-identify ourselves. Give up on old attitudes, opinions, and convictions that do not really have their source in our being. Give them up because they were most likely borrowed from friends, teachers or other role models. This card is also often a matter of self-made profiles and effectively dooned masks, which are now torn off in order for the true face to come to light and develop.
So to me it is about defining myself to you, in turn, defining myself to myself. But without the labels, stereotypes and categories; those divide us from ourselves and each other. I guess what I am trying to say is: I am giving up any preconceptions about who I am to you. The minute my ego and pride start carrying banners of demands I realize I have lost myself to the smaller, petty, zero-gravity spheres. My spirit wants you to perceive me as pure light, just as much as it wants to live as pure light. so to answer the question: I have met you because you see this in me, and I see this in you.
XI THE TOWER: A stone tower is in flames, two people (a man and a woman) fall from the tower to the cliffs below.
In every case the tower stands for a concept that used to give us a reassuring measure of security, perhaps even a feeling of safety. But now we have grown out of it. These old concepts are usually toppled Since this is a matter of the supposed basis of our security, these sudden changes are often first experienced as catastrophes. It is only when the initial shock has been overcome that we sense with relief that we have been freed from old burdens.
So I figure our illusions about relationship cause many of our disappointments. We have ideas about love, rather than trusting ourselves and others in roles that may be inappropriate. What is important is our effect on each other. Rather than adapting to the packaged American stereotype, why not embrace our unique expression of love as the brushstrokes of our artistic palette, communicating in whatever style and form is natural. Being open to myriad levels of relationship allows more independence and a diversified range of interaction. We must fully accept our many faceted selves. A progressive re-forming of our social attitudes and perceptions is demanded in these chaotic times, non?
May we create this relationship as we would create art, continually reinventing ourselves in the process, using our imagination rather than societies stereotypes to express our ideals. Love is created. Love perpetuates reinvention.
I live in unfolding wonder, experiencing lifes contradictions. The more simply I live, the more the silent languages reveal. For me, our interaction thus far is just another reminder that this is so.
V. JUSTICE: She is standing with two dragons, they are her frame. An owl sits close, and she holds a sword as well as a cup.
On the everyday level this card says that we experience our surroundings as our echo and will be confronted with the results of our actions, be they good or bad. This card expresses a high degree of personal responsibility.
But as I look into the card I understand what it is I believe to be true, and why this card was chosen. See like attracts like, non? Because we emit particular vibrations, we tune into similar frequencies, attracting our own resonance. The number of channels we have open will determine how myriad our reception. As cosmic instruments, we are unique transmitters emitting our own sound, discordant or harmonious.

last night the stars were so clear that I thought I could touch them. The air and everything everything else was crisp and bright. I looked deep into the sky, meditating on your light. A shooting star came through and whisked me up, transporting me to you.
