my heart drips from the center and into my gut. tension that won't be pinpointed no matter what. it resonates within, builds.chronic fatigue mixed with benign insomnia which leads to hypochondria. I enter a deep rest where dreams are like video games. I only get so far. and then some. old one, wise one, clenched fists, swollen tongue.

i am a poet despite myself. i am a poet despite the hours for writing i never take. i am not a good one, but crude, and aware.

i am not prolific in anything but conviction. despite a paucity of aptitude, genius or discipline, i must be a poet: words feed the fire of change and i was born to ignite.

all is well in the desert. Sparkle (the horse) is catching on quick. this makes my days easier. i like it slow and easy.
