Two Years

June 14, 2005, my parents and my fianc left early in the morning for Lena Meijer Heart Center. I went through a lengthy check-in process, including giving my advance directives. There was a lot of waiting.

The tech who was supposed to perform my transesophageal echocardiogram didn't show, and so the same cardiologist who performed the surgery did it instead. I don't remember...

Thanks for the pithy proverb. Really helped me see the error of my ways. whatever

I continue to think that house is fucking ugly. I do not give a flying rat's ass how much work he put into it, it's still a technicolor dung heap in the middle of the New Jersey boonies.

Help me have a little grace about myself. I need to retrain my brain, so help me. If I start getting overly dramatic, point it out to me, but please be gentle. Just toss out some Chicken Little imagery. That way, I can laugh a little and get back to being the me I want to be, the me I usually am.

Your assistance is...

You are strong, you'll get through it. Buying a home is one of the most stressful thing a person can do. If you need any help or advice, let me know. Maybe you can learn from my mistakes wink. Tomorrow is your big anniversary isn't it? Big HEART HUGS! biggrin biggrin

our little baby robins flew away. they are all grown up and big now. I'm an empty nester. tongue I'm mildly bummed out, though, because John had suggested getting worms for them, which I thought was a great idea, but the first chance I had to get to a store that sold worms was last night, and we suspected they were gone by then. they were....

What's so bad about the rules? No vermin, no pests, no renting, no squatting, no unwarranted destruction. Random inspections (I had one last month) will happen just to make sure the Feds will get their money's worth should you ever default.

IMHOO, that beats the hell out of 100% financing, no matter what the couple on College may say.

The week in review:

I've decided to buy a house. Yea! Hooray! Woo hoo! Yeah! Okay, so it's not going to happen this week or this month or anything, but I've been at my job for a year and it's been something I've wanted for a really long time. The goal is to find a place either on a bus line or within biking distance...

Ok, so I hate this new layout thingy, because I totally missed that you posted this until just now.

That being said, YAY on the house decision!! Also, I love the term "cunt bubble," it's so gross and so funny at the same time. biggrin I totally feel you on the love of books thing. We're packing up to move, and suddenly I realize that while we have 5 boxes of DVDs, we also have 5 BIGGER boxes (SO FAR) of books. And there's still easily a hundred books scattered around that I have yet to stack, organize, and box. Such an addiction, and such heavy boxes.

Oh yeah, for more details on my drama, read my journal, I posted that just for you! (You're the only one that asked!)

Dude buying a house is a totally big deal! I thought I was going to have a corinary when we bought our house! It's totally worth it tho.

Talking to robins is compleately worthwhile. I talk to all the animals around our house. We live near a forest so we get dear and bunnies and all sorts of lovely animals. I love them all except for the fucking racoons who dig in the garbage and make a huge mess!

I've decided that it really is okay when my reality and consensus reality function as a dynamic ven diagram, rather than an image I must bring into focus and can't because of this silly double vision.

enjoying mu absurdity, finally.

we'll se if I'm back by friday.

but I am very glad I removed myself this past weekend,

love!

The man who saved my soul: OSHO

I discovered OSHO entirely by accident. I wanted to understand what was going on in my confused world, and so I bought a tarot deck. After pondering the selection for nearly forty-five minutes, I decided on the transformation tarot, which is hardly a tarot deck at all. Instead of being an insight into the future or the past,...

OH darling you are right. Trust the universe (higher power, God whatever) Things (even horrible things) happen for a reason. You may realize why years later. Unfortunately (don't hate me) I think in some ways your brother may be right. There is almost always someone who's worse off then you. But right now I think it's nessesary for you to focus just on you. It was kinda uncaring for your brother to point that out to you at this point. Continue to grow in your faith. kisses kiss kiss kiss kiss kiss kiss
