tomorrow (ahem) today I'm taking my mom to a colonoscopy. in august, she took me to my endoscopy, so it's only fair. it's always good to hang out with loved ones when they are drugged and overloaded with medical information about themselves.

yeah.

we got a catalog the other day. it was fun. it made me miss wearing jewelry. it also made me painfully aware of the fact that I'm barely able to afford gas right now. ugh. why we live in a capitalist society again?

oh, that's right. because people who have taken on sixty thousand dollars in student loans who then suffer from strokes but are still able to function enough to survive are in the minority and are still expected to function like the rest of society. right.

I guess if we were a true capitalist state I would be destitute or dead, so I should be grateful that there is some degree of socialism, such as health insurance. or something.

Sorry you're feeling stressed. You've definitely had a rough go of things and I know it's probably easy to feel strung out over all this.

BUT !!!!

As you said, you're alive and rehabbing and facing each day as it comes. One day at a time. That's all we can do. You're a trooper, kiddo. I can't tell you not to be stressed but I can tell you that capitalism or not, you've still done a remarkable job of conquering things that make lots of people surrender or quit.
