What the fuck is up with SG right now? Its really annoying.
So anyway, to the blog.
I took the day off work for my neuro- psycho- voodoo- evaluation. Several hours into it, my doctor said that she wanted to do a few extra tests, so what was supposed to be six hours of testing was seven and a half. (exhaustion)
There were parts during the test when I felt incredibly, ridiculously, stupid. I honestly was in tears at one point and she just pushed on. Then there were other parts that I know I did better than the mean. I know I did really, really well on certain parts.
One of the extra tests my doctor gave me was a drug and alcohol abuse evaluation test. That was really weird.
Okay, so this whole remake of wickerman is leaving me with some seriously mixed feelings. On the one hand, Im severely pissed off. I honestly dont think that the original needs improving. (minus a few minor issues with sky and timing) The original is entrancing, mythical, and powerful just for what it is. So the remake has all kinds of fancy special effects and it looks like it has a different beginning even (the truck accident? What?), and honestly, considering the experience that the protagonist has, THERE IS NO FUCKING NEED FOR SPECIAL EFFECTS in this film.
The only reason Im somewhat excited about this remake is, well, because I havent seen the film in about a year and I would like to see it again. I really hope the original is re-released.
HOKAY.
So this weekend Ive got the family canoeing trip. Twenty canoes! Too many people ruled by a borderline insane matriarchary. And we drink a lot, which is a point of contention, because my mom used it as an excuse to block my strong and solid (recovering alcoholic) beau. But I will get to see my cousin who lives in Georgia and my godson, who I do not get to see often enough at all.
Ill be back Sunday, sunburnt, and hopefully still somewhat at peace.

I had no dough, that is why I was gone. Luckily, I have friends with cold hard cash... so, I'm back.
