Ah yes, it is a Monday.
I woke up this morning at 8:00am after staying up until 3:00pm (I am a smart one). I rushed over to the art buildings, on the other side of campus, to put some things I typed for a professor (I am sort of his secretary) on his door. The building was locked and I had my last exam at 9:00am, which by this point was half an hour away.
I called the campus safety guys, who know me pretty well since I am a building monitor, to come unlock the damn building. While I was waiting, the really nice custodian of the building came up and unlocked it for me. Hurray for being nice to everybody!
So I stuck the papers on his door (for a meeting in an hour) and hightailed it to the building I was going to take my final in. When I got to the door of my classroom, a normal 15 minutes early, I stopped dead. There was another class in there.
Normally, my final would have been at 8:30am, but my professor rescheduled it to 9:00am. I figured that another professor had taken advantage of this and was letting his students go a little longer. I didn't think we had finals before 8:30am, that didn't seem right, but it made the most sense at the time.
I remembered that I hadn't bought a blue-book for the test, so I jumped over to the bookstore, figuring I had plenty of time. In my jovial chat with the cashier, I realized that today is the 19th of May.
Perhaps you have known for awhile what was going to happen.
My final is scheduled for the 20th.
The stupidity quotient of the day spent up in thirty minutes, I went home and took a nap...for five hours.
